By Design Media opened its doors in 2004, when Scott Mac Duffie took his 15 years experience to market upon winning the “2003 Media All-Star” award from Mediaweek magazine.

Prior to opening By Design Media, Mac Duffie was SVP, Director of OOH Media for Publicis-owned media agency, Zenith Media. 

It was during his tenure there that OOH billings increased 200% while he and his team handled buying for over 37 separate national brands.

Before Zenith, Scott spent seven years at Young & Rubicam as VP, Group Supervisor of their OOH media-buying unit.  In addition to all day-to-day operations, he was responsible for increasing the two-person operation to 10 member staff and growing the business to $80 million annually.

Mac Duffie has held the position of Chairman of the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ (AAAA) OOH Media Committee, and Director for the Traffic Audit Bureau’s (TAB) Board of Director’s.  He is expertly familiar with local market geographies across country through his numerous years of field experience.  Scott is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
